What Your Session Fees Cover

In addition to the time we spend together during our therapy sessions, your fees cover a range of important aspects that ensure you receive the best care and support. Here’s what you are getting for your investment:

  • Clinical and Administrative Work: Beyond our session time, I dedicate time to writing thorough clinical notes, scoring and interpreting any assessments, and creating personalised resources that support your progress. Where necessary, I also write letters to other healthcare professionals, such as your GP, to ensure continuity of care.
  • Practice Management Software (Halaxy): Your fees also support the use of Halaxy, a professional healthcare management system that securely handles appointment scheduling, automated reminders, invoicing, and encrypted client payments. This ensures a smoother experience for you, from receiving timely appointment confirmations and reminders, to accessing invoices or updates.
  • Telehealth Infrastructure: When we meet online, your fees maintaining a secure and professional online platform. This includes software subscriptions for video conferencing, secure data storage, and technology support to ensure smooth and private sessions. This infrastructure allows us to meet remotely while still ensuring confidentiality and a high standard of care.
  • Room Hire: For clients attending in-person sessions, part of your fee contributes to the hire of a comfortable, private, and professional counselling space. This ensures that your sessions take place in a calm, welcoming environment designed to support your wellbeing and therapeutic progress.
  • Insurance and Professional Registration: As a Registered Clinical Counsellor with PACFA (Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia), I maintain the necessary insurances (e.g., professional indemnity insurance) and meet the registration requirements to legally and ethically provide my services. This helps safeguard both you and me throughout the therapeutic process.
  • Ongoing Training, Supervision, and Experience: Your care is supported by a strong academic foundation and a sustained commitment to reflective, evidence-based practice. I am a qualified counsellor with a completed Master of Counselling, supported by undergraduate training in Biblical Studies and Psychology. In 2025, I completed the four-year Psychology Honours program with First Class Honours, which further deepened my understanding of human behaviour, trauma, and psychological wellbeing across the lifespan. In 2026, I am commencing postgraduate training in psychology as part of my ongoing professional development and commitment to best-practice care. This continued investment in training ensures that the support I offer remains ethically grounded, informed by contemporary psychological research, and responsive to evolving clinical knowledge. I welcome and work respectfully with clients from all backgrounds, whether spiritual, secular, or otherwise, and therapy is always guided by your individual values, goals, and lived experience. In addition, I meet all requirements for clinical supervision and professional development through the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA). This includes regular paid supervision, specialised training, and ongoing professional education, including conference participation. These are essential professional commitments that support thoughtful, accountable, and high-quality care. By maintaining these standards, I am able to offer ethical, effective, and well-supported telehealth and in-clinic counselling to assist you in working towards your personal goals.
