In addition to the time we spend together during our telehealth sessions, your fees cover a range of important aspects that ensure you receive the best care and support. Here’s what you are getting for your investment:
- Clinical and Administrative Work: Beyond our session time, I dedicate time to writing thorough clinical notes, selecting and scoring any questionnaires, completing assessments, and creating personalised resources that support your progress. Where necessary, I also write letters to other healthcare professionals, such as your GP, to ensure continuity of care.
- Telehealth Infrastructure: Since all sessions are conducted via telehealth, your fees help cover the costs associated with maintaining a secure and professional online platform. This includes software subscriptions for video conferencing, secure data storage, and technology support to ensure smooth and private sessions. This infrastructure allows us to meet remotely while still ensuring confidentiality and a high standard of care.
- Insurance and Professional Registration: As a Registered Clinical Counsellor with PACFA (Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia), I maintain the necessary insurances (e.g., professional indemnity insurance) and meet the registration requirements to legally and ethically provide my services. This helps safeguard both you and me throughout the therapeutic process.
- Ongoing Training, Supervision, and Experience: Your fees reflect not only the years of training I have completed, including degrees in psychology, community counselling, and biblical studies, but also my extensive years of experience working as a counsellor. In addition, I invest in ongoing professional development to stay current with PACFA’s supervision requirements and continuously enhance my skills. This combination of experience and continuous education ensures that you receive the most effective, evidence-based therapies and interventions, tailored specifically to your needs.
